Our pressure cooker is reserved for green peanuts.. But I agree.. The Muscle/fat ratio has to be dissolved and cook evenly.

If it weren't a huge rooster I want to process I'd dislocate neck first then remove head... that I am confident in doing.

I grew up with raising animals for food, hunting and fishing. Mom would tell us to go pick an old hen for chicken and dumplings. It was a Family project and guaranteed the chicken and dumplings were always very Tasty!

I did too...I skinned the hogs and helped wrap...and we butchered dozens of birds every year...Dh and I too when we got married. Now I've gotten soft. I have about a dozen I should be eating...I looked at getting a new hatchet the other day. Instead I just want to hug them. ......Hug a chicken.

First, your littlest reminds me of Duckling when I say most anything lately.
If you have the chicks in the house, any (gooseneck)lamp will do. As long as you have an older bulb (that actually gives off heat) you are good.

Yep! I buy 60 watt incandescent spot lights for the house brooder box when they hatch. Newly hatched chicks don't jump to hit the light. They are super cheap.
