Antibiotic cream with painkiller for treating wounds or unhealed navels.

Okay, I can buy that. I Was thinking of a case of surgery or stitching more I guess. Thanks

Thinking back, I guess i have used it on a bumblefoot or something, more because of the antibiotic effect more than the pain killing effect. Chickens having the high resistance to pain that all prey animals and men have..... when compared to non-prey animals or women,,........:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau

:tongue :tongue

I have not tried the stuff with painkiller yet just to err on the side of caution. Oftentimes when I use it it's applied daily for a few weeks, like with Chrissy's foot, and I am not taking any chances with any bird I care enough about to try and save.

I, have a tendency to intermingle my human and chicken meds. If I have a tube of antibiotic in the house and it has a pain killer in it. I might just use it on the birds..

I, unlike many people here. Like my birds and will do what I can to save any of them, do not have one so special losing it would break me up greatly. The only exception would be Cuddles and I don't think that would break me up over a day or so....

I wouldn't go to great lengths to save an injured bird that was on the soup list. They'd just have their life cut a tad shorter by whatever came through. Other than that, of course I'm going to try... "any bird I care about enough" covers probably 90% plus of my flock right now.

I've even tried to doctor up an aggressive rooster with terminal injuries before I wondered why I was spending $$ on a doomed meanie.

I have a medieval medical device I use on those birds without a lot of thought and it works nearly 100% of the time..

No Prescription is needed and it Cures PITAISM in one treatment..

:lau The best part is the PITASM bacteria don't become resistant to this treatment. :thumbsup
