While California burns with hot Santa Anna winds fanning the flames...

I know. I’m often amazed how part of the country is flooding, and the other is burning.

I wonder why the Santa Anna winds are so hot. Or is it that they're simply warm enough coming off the desert to turn all the vegetation so dry that it becomes perfect tinder that is ignited by lightning? And why does it repeat itself every year?

Honeybee's in the hospital. Turns out his cough was bronchitis brought on by RSV. They want to keep him for a few days for monitoring and treatment. He's responding well and he still has no fever so they think he can go home tomorrow or the day after.
