@BantyChooks here is one. I just got rid of the cover in the coop. I use it to set it on when it comes inside.

Or you can put some beans in a material bag and heat it, but I am not sure how long it would stay warm.

Yea.. cause pain is one of my favorite things..NOT... I figure God put the hair on my legs, it can stay there until he decides it is time to take it off....

12 hours of putting out heat in the tropics where she lives and the climate we live in is a lot different...Up here it is 9 minutes of heat, before it freezes.

It was working in -5 weather left under a regular white with a red base waterer without insulation. I only had a sheet of ice once at 14 hours. Still warmer than up there, but cold enough sitting outside on a concrete block.

I just saw that our forecast has changed again. We’re now expecting highs of 32 to 48°F for the next week after today. I’m so glad!!

Not long at all, unfortunately. It lasts just until it gets to the most freezing part of the night.

I use rice socks to heat the beds in winter sometimes.

She hasn't been broody (or laid an egg) in over half a year.
It's a good idea though. I will have to look into it more.

My weather just looks worse and worse.

I figured out a way that I can walk a mile in your shoes! Without leaving my home. First I open my freezer door climb half way inside and blast the sound from this video!

I now feel your pain sis! Man-o-man it's freezing! While I am in here hanging out in my Artificial Canada, I guess I'll pull something out for tomorrow's dinner!

They also have inexpensive pet beds that reflect back body heat. It would fit in a box, but I bet it would be nasty quick. You may have to use the mamma heating pad idea if you have power.
