EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I use to ride a Belgian Stallion....once in a while, cause he was the worlds greatest horse....

He would never buck or do anything to bother a rider...HOWEVER his gait was a tad uncomfortable...BUT just riding a horse that size awed everyone around him.

If you got him to a gallop..damage could incur, and you had best hope you have had all the offspring you want my then..
And I have thought that the "Nutcraker" is Russian ballet not Belgian ......

As a breed, they're generally pretty easy to get along with, as long as they understand what you want, but there's usually a bad apple in a full barrel.
I've noticed that. She was pretty awful. She was the first and last bad horse I've ridden. Granted, I haven't done much riding since her, but it's not totally her fault.

I only had occasion to ride one MFT; he was every bit as comfortable as my TW mare, just gaited a little different.
I have a friend that likes the bouncy horses... she says the gaiteds are weird because they 'move side to side.' Your loss!

DO NOT LAUGH AT DEWEY!!

The WWD will turn you into a frog..She really loved that horse. She even rode him once in a while. You would think he was a gelding he was so gentle and sweet. If I could have any horse back of all I have owned or ridden. He would be the one.

Of course, he ate a tad more than any three other horses.

I am laughing at the mental image of you biting back sobs and yells of anguish as you gallop him bareback down a trail—not at the horse. :lau

Aww, how sweet. Drafts are great horses... if only they weren't so fragile. :(

The eating a lot thing is rather hard to afford too.

I grew up riding grade horses of unknown breeding from a hack stable, and I have ridden very well-bred Quarter horses directly from the King Ranch in TX; I'll take a gaited horse every time. Paso, MFT, TWH, no matter.
