I used tomato holders for this and then put a colored mini zip tie on them when I took them out of each basket

Ahhh! Didn't give it a thought to segregate the eggs in the bator somehow. Problem solved with a easy solution. Thanks!

I took a little wire mesh and made separate areas for mine in my Brinsea, but in my incuview I used those green baskets my strawberries came in.

Question,
I plan on setting eggs from two different groups of the same breed and I'd like to keep track of them. Already figured I'd mark the eggs, and then the chicks as they hatch.
Now I'm trying to think of ways to mark them without opening the bator.
Long Q-tip trough the hole in the top and see if I can dab some paint or bluecoat or something on them? Just take them out as they hatch?
How do you all accomplish this if you do?
I put them in "expandable" plastic mesh bags that some fruit come in and clip the open end. The bags ensure good ventilation/air movement.

I've used mesh laundry bags in the past to seperate eggs till they hatched. If you get the right sized basket from the dollar store, it'll fit right inside the laundry bag and you can set that whole thing in the bator. This year, hubby and I discovered the 3doodler Create 3d printer pen. I'm using that thing to make dividers for my hatcher :) They're almost done, I've just been being lazy about finishing up lol
