EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I give up. Anytime I go to post it take a minute or more to post. I don't have that kind of time. There are groceries to be got, have a great day everyone! :frow
Seems to be site-wide; we all seem to be having problems to varying degrees

Remember BIAS tires before Radial tires? The first couple miles massaged your butt on the seat and vibrate your hands on the steering wheel.
The good ole days..
Trailer tires are still bias I believe. So I see where you are coming from..
Never thought about that, but you're right. Not sure whether trailer tires are still bias or not; if they look like they're all the way up, I get in & go. I also carry an air bottle behind the seat, so I don't worry about it so much.

I've had trailer tires go completely flat over time if trailer hasn't moved. Also had them get low on pressure for the same reason; likely a slow leak at the valve.
The flat spots are usually the result of the tires having set so long. Does the bouncing quit after you've gone far enough for the rubber to warm up & become more flexible?
If the tire's set that long it may be dry-rotted. How old was it when you parked the trailer?
Old yes, never been in sun while parked 3,000 mile max. Don’t know about them stopping as I only went to mail box and back with it.

But I use Virkon.

Bleach offends my delicate sensibilities. I use rubbing alcohol to clean/disinfect my cell phone. (*This is not related...just an interesting note)
I just bought a force of nature kit. I am told the cleaner has the same properties as vetericyn. Wow.

I was on a thread yesterday where we all thought the incubator was contaminated with mold or bacteria. Today the OP posted a picture of the walls in the room used for incubation...covered with black mold!

Person was about to cull his flock and start with new chickens.
@ronott1 have you heard about force of nature? They claim it is the same stuff as in vetericyn. They claim it will kill anything, virus, bacteria and mold. No odor and nontoxic.

Got it I think. Under inflated even though air compressor said 50 # gauge said 22# smooth now. Thanks

What kind of trailer we talking about? OTR, or a little yard trailer that you pull around over the yard with your lawn mower? Those little tires will leak if you just look at them wrong.

Little bigger than yard trailer. Is supposed to carry 1200# or tires are rated for that. Carries two snowmobiles fine.
OTR
