They may be, but I also haven’t seen her try to drink water yet. I am sure the kindest thing to do is to put her down. I will post a pic, she looks terrible compared to the others. I feel like I have done everything I could have.

I have a question!! Will the chicks get used to the sounds of the washing machine if I put them next to it?

Mine live in the laundry room..... doesn't seem to bother them.......only issue I had was my well intended son running the vacuum next to the broody in the house and breaking her broody.......????? But the chicks in the brooder were fine... in all fairness it was a leghorn and she was in a crate in the houseand I think he decided it was a good idea to vacuum the top of her crate???? Wth???? Gotta love kids o guess. He had good intentions.

Okay, non- chicken question for any of you computer geeks: Why can I only get one tab at a time? I normally bring up the mail tag, then bring up the others one at a time by holding down the left arrow at the top until "show history" pops up, then scroll down the list 'til I get to the one I want. Since yesterday evening, it's not working, and I'm about to scream.

I just vacuumed next to the brooder. Outside I will go slow mowing the first few times near the coop when newbies are in there.
I worried about the machine because it is a bunch of sudden stops and starts with vibration. Duckling wanted them in the living room, so that’s where they are.
They are loud getting used to the new setup. More room, and a nice big log to jump on. More headspace, and lots of sunshine!

For those of you that do not live in a cold climate, some of us need to put plastic over our windows in the winter. Especially if we live in an old house.
Thus the plastic you see above the chicks.
