EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

It's not rocket science (as you guys know). If there is no-one to help with such jobs - you just learn to do it yourself.
Yes, I am grateful to the guys that have explained repairs to me. It’s saved me a lot of $$. Though sometimes I just can’t seem to tackle a job. As simple as I am sure this is, I’m not brave enough to do it.

I went almost a year without hot water in the bathroom sink. I hired a guy that fixed it for a whole two weeks (but he was cheap). A member walked me through the repair after another six months or so. I was then able to repair the kitchen sink a year after the bathroom.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, Hon; it happens to guys, as well. I can't begin to tell you how many jobs I've put off 'cause I'd never done them & couldn't afford to spend extra money trying to fix it after I screwed it up, only to find out that the job wasn't nearly as bad as I thought.
You ever get the weed whacker running?

Got the Swine across the County to the processor today.

No. The fuel line was rotted. I bought a new one.
The push mower is shot. I need to replace that. The riding mower was making funny noises. I’m not sure what to do about that. After everything last year to get it running again, I am hoping that it will sound normal when I start it up again.

It was easier to get a whole new light. Nothing was broken on the old one, but the bulbs are hard to find, and it is more cost-effective to have a new light with LED bulbs. I did not go with a $10 one. That was just way too cheap! This one was clearanced, nice looking and bright enough. $17! :highfive:

Best of all, it turns on a soon as I flip the switch! For decades the other one only turned on if you played with the switch. I figured out quickly to tap the bulb to get it to come on. My husband put three new lights up in the old house. I have no idea why he never tried to fix the one in this house. :hu

Hopefully, you ran it 'til it ran out of gas after you used it the last time. If not, it may start after a little spritz (technical jargon for not much ) of starting fluid into the carburator..underneath the air filter.
What kind of noise was it making? Could you tell whether it was coming from the engine?
