It was easier to get a whole new light. Nothing was broken on the old one, but the bulbs are hard to find, and it is more cost-effective to have a new light with LED bulbs. I did not go with a $10 one. That was just way too cheap! This one was clearanced, nice looking and bright enough. $17! :highfive:

Best of all, it turns on a soon as I flip the switch! For decades the other one only turned on if you played with the switch. I figured out quickly to tap the bulb to get it to come on. My husband put three new lights up in the old house. I have no idea why he never tried to fix the one in this house.
Pretty...money well spent.

No idea now.
O.K. With any luck, what you heard was one of the blades hitting the inside of the deck from smacking a rock too hard. Worst case scenario is a bad spindle needing to be replaced...not a big deal if the nuts aren't seized.
If the noise was coming from the engine, it could be a whole host of things that I'm not an expert on.

So you WILL be coming in about two months, and making sure everything is okay. :highfive:

If you have a bent blade and/or spindle, you can fix one with a hammer & one by replacement, but if you haven't mowed the grass by 2 months from now you won't only need a mower, you'll need a hay rake & baler, too:gig

I’m about ready to get the scraper going. Maybe the tiller.

Our grass will not be ready to mow until then. Maybe you have milder winters. I’m used to snow into May.

Milder winters? I'm not so sure about that. We've had 2" of snow already this Winter. :gigWe'll see how things shape up a little closer to then.
