I was taught that if an animal, any animal, gets zapped in front of the eyes it'll back off. If it gets zapped behind the eyes, chances are it'll go on through.
.I'm no expert; I know only what I was told when I sold & built electric fence systems. Your local Ag Extension Agent or hog farmer, either one, would be able to give you a better answer than I ever could. I've never kept swine; don't want them anywhere near me.
