I'm not actually leaving for a month and a half, you silly billies. Even I can't sleep that long.@BantyChooks I was liking the humor in your quote not the thought of you being gone for a month and a half..
I just didn't want to encourage you to be gone by liking your comment. Sweet for me would you until I get past this first month about a feeding I'm like having a newborn at home. It doesn't matter how much sleep I want the baby has to be fed when the baby has to be fed thus I don't get more than 5 or 6 hours.I'm not actually leaving for a month and a half, you silly billies. @mlm Mike have you ever induced a doe? Some of the big show farms do it all the time, including one of the ladies that helps Mentor me and goats. Not sure if I'm comfortable with the concept of inducing labor or whether I'd rather wait for it. Though I understand not letting the kids get too big if the doe is going late or or showing signs of ketosis. The one lady she's just afraid to be by herself so she schedules when they're going to deliver so that she can have help.

Well I'm excited for you. Goats are a lot of fun they're work because they're more delicate than people think, but they're a lot of fun and they've been great for my pasture management. Aside from the fact I just love them. Big pets.![]()
Now that stinks. So sorry.
BTW, I should be getting goats in a month or two. I'm wicked excited.
