Good morning all! I'm awake bright and early from the phone call that schooll is canceled :/ I'm never this awake in the morning, so why the morning there's no school! I'm fuming a little over the forcast too. WHY are we still getting snow and winter storm warnings on March 20th?

Been up since 5:30 waiting for rain to just drizzle to run out and do something w/o me getting poured down on again.
On a positive note, I've made excellent progress on the haul of of our new Ark!. The hardest decision will be choosing which of only 2 animals are the lucky ones to join me upon the maiden voyage. Somebody has to tell my ole man that my duckies are taking his spot

I am planning a raised bed area but I didn’t know about the piping you are speaking of.

Essentially you build a wood frame raised bed. Then you line it with pond liner. Then you take PVC with holes in it or the stuff that already comes with holes and makeup back and forth around the bottom pattern. Then you make a connection and raise either one or two pipes going up through the soil and then up about 6 in and put a cap on it. Then you can fill it with water every week or two depending on your weather and the plants will sink their Roots down to get to the water and if you have to go on vacation or whatever you don't have to worry about oh my gosh did somebody water my garden. The plants also seem to thrive really well in these time beds my sister and her husband built and use them for years. It has been on my like to do list for years, but there's only so much of me to go around and that has gone down the drain has a not going to happen thing.

That’s a great idea. I’ll incorporate it into the raised beds. Fertilizer could be added there as well. I’m going to cut those same 55 gallon drums the other direction and use them. I already use pvc piping in regular garden as a drip system.
And I hear ya on the only one thing. While there’s three of four people here at any given time none help on the outside stuff. This list is long and time is short. Chicken control is first on list here for now. I’m trying couple different breeds to see how they do here but over time they may go as well.
