EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

One of our ducks is blind, I didn't notice when he was in the brooder as a baby, but now that he's half-grown, it's clear he doesn't have eyes.... Not sure if I should cull it, or continue to put it in the water 3-4x a day and hand feed it daily. I don't mind letting him leave if he can figure out how to be a blind duck and find food/water

Is this a yolk sack or intestines? ...she is still alive it's been 24 hours but she peeps every once in awhile..but I don't think she will make it..Am I correct in assuming this...

Yolk sac would eventually dry up and go inside of her or fall off.... If those are intestines, you'd be better off culling her and putting her out of her misery.

Friend of mine has a half blind duck it used to follow another duck around until a bear got the one that could see. He’s still alive as far as I know.
