I have been following your posts in lurking mode here. Family moved in and BYC time is limited now. I wish you the best on your move etc. 2 things I hate most in life, the Dentist & moving. Both equally painful.

Not one rooster crowing this morning. Rather nice actually.

Isn't that nice- the awkward silence? When we go from 40+ down to a few, it is nice to be able to hear other things we take for granted. Quite ambiance sounds.

Yes the silence is strange but nice. Soon to be replaced by the ones growing up I’m sure.
Family moved in here about 6 months ago. Challenging and fun same time. Finding your quiet time is hard.
Plans on moving are for at least 4 years out but who knows. It’s a retirement situation.
The dentist on the other hand is in my immediate future. And I too share the same love.
Pretty sure I can get back in grain line quickly.

I tore up more carpet. The dog had an accident, and I didn’t want to get out the carpet scrubber again.
So! A runner, an area rug or DIY tiles/linoleum?

Good question. Unless you do a layover on the hardwood for the linoleum the linoleum will show all lines of the hardwood flooring eventually. Would certainly be easier to clean though.

Area rug a bit narrower than the area you want to cover, 'cause I doubt the walls are true.

I think he gave up on BYC? Hasn't asked even about my activity. Since our house filled up with the new occupants.
craigslist is a pain in the butt most of the time.
We had a queen bed set in awesome condition. Listed it for FREE on craigslist the last few days. Gave our address to countless people, TONS OF CALLS but no one showed. "Oh please save it for me".. whatever. We needed it off the front porch, it was making our home look seedy.
Goodwill came out and got it yesterday on the same day we called.
Nothing was wrong with it, our house guests wanted to use their own bed and we didn't have room for both.
