How do you heat your cabinet incubators?
I know my almonds are starting to bud.Upper 50’s here for next 7 days. This weather really messes with the fruit trees.
Received a dusting of snow overnight with a sheet of ice under neath.
I had to move eggs out of that cabinet and into hatchers while it was down. And now I’m gonna be crunched for room as I get ready to start hatching out of the other cabinets. May end up having to hatch in a cabinet which I prefer not to do due to the staggering. Oh well.
Yeah, I have been getting the same crap since Tuesday. They are in transit since Tuesday, location or facility N/A. It's getting to nine degrees tonight, where the hell are my eggs! At least give me a city! Freaking a**holesView attachment 1651674
Yep, they suck bad. Mail guy just mudded his way down our road about 45 min ago and nope, no package but I like their statement of still making it today. Heck, I’m surprised he even came today with as muddy as it is. He’ll skip us if the road is too bad and sometimes he’ll come on Sundays.
Probably won’t get the proper chill hours here so will have to see how this works out. The deer are loving the warm weather and extra tall grass.I know my almonds are starting to bud.
Not sure on the flat turner. Mines always been upright. I also lock down upright.Hey guys. I have a hatching question, I received one order of my shipped eggs (the EEs). They were very cold, and the three that I candled real quick have rolling air cells. I have been back to reading the 101 on shipped eggs. My question is about my egg turner really. I see that I should start the ones with messed up air cells upright, and not turn them for two or threes day. How do you know (if any even make it) when it's ok to lay them down on the turner. My old incubator had a turner that sat them upright, this new one is flat, and they have to be laid down. I also have a lost set of silkie/sizzle eggs that are circling somewhere in the mail system, that's the ones I was so excited about. It is supposed to get down to nine degrees tonight, they are probable frozen in the back of truck somewhere
. I will candle the rest of the EEs later this evening, I currently have them upright in a carton.
