Anyone use vitamins of supplements before gathering eggs for hatching? If so what do you use. My polish have not started laying since the fall molt. Lazy buggers!

Just what’s in the pellets from feed store. Never have given extra supplements.

Walked by one of the hatchers before coming in the house that is due to meet the world tomorrow and saw a pip on an EE egg. So maybe there will be a few babies in the morning.

I haven’t hatched since the Halloween hal. Going to rely on my birds for next bunch of eggs.

Since I farm, my birds are on my own ration that comes in on the bulk truck with livestock rations and hog rations. My ration for the birds also has a nice shot of Vit A, D and E added to it as well as yeast. I run it in there year around. It doesn’t come in on every truck I order but when I need it, 2.5 tons at a time to fill that hopper.

Eh, just like anything else. A task I can do in my sleep. Just gotta call the mill with what I want. They do all the work.

Although every now and again I screw up and have to call in an emergency order and go pick it up with the grain truck or gooseneck.

The other beautiful thing is I can make time for the grand babies anytime I want. My Zayleigh spent the day with me today. She is 4 months old and loves her papa.
