EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

This family doesn’t do vacation, so I have not been in many years.
I’ve done Disney World numerous times, and I spent two long weeks in the Black Hills of S.D. Lee Greenwood did a small concert. I wasn’t impressed at the time, but that was before 9/11. Now his song is associated with that.
If I ever get to vacation again, I think I’d vacation with you. I miss riding horses. I’d want to go camping in the fall. Cool nights, open air, gorgeous colors of the trees. And a port a potty. I’ll bring an extra horse if I must, I can only take so much squatting.
I am sorry. I was not ignoring you I just fell into the way too busy road again. It has been a very long spring for me. with the inability to win the little ones I'm still doing milk three times a day and milking twice a day and I started January 31st. enough about me.
You need to find your own vacation. I go camping usually in the fall with my horse. It is beautiful.
you should start doing what I do and just put a few dollars away every month until eventually you can do something you want to do. My next goal is another National Park hike trip. I have found that I really enjoy hiking. the pack trip in the Tetons was absolutely fantastic. I can't afford the $1,800 to do that regularly before I wish I could. I wish I had known about the opportunities to work as essentially a hand for the guides on one of those trips or just working for a summary Yellowstone when I was young and free of obligations enough to do it. why do you always learn about those things too late?

you would be welcome if you're ever my way.

We've had a little rain here, too.

I think my boat and dock are the only ones still where they are supposed to be. Everything else is tied up to shore. Moving everything out as the water, ever so slowly, recedes.

Hay prices are high, not much available. Yesterday I paid $350 a ton for first cut mixed grass. Some old dried out, brown alfalfa went for $550 a ton. Hopefully second and third cuttings go better.
yeah, it looks like you got some rain too. I understand the waterlogged feeling. hey prices are not that bad here yet but it's going to be ugly. it's also really hard to find any.
my guess is I'm going to have to sell my cows it'll give me the money to feed the goats and I can't afford them to it's a shame have a fantastic house had six have her she never has a male Daisy is also a giant pet at 1850 lb

I really haven't asked her. I used to visit MLT vacations that always had last minute seat sales when they had planes on their charter routes that weren't full. The closer it got to the flight, the cheaper it was.
Amtrak has the same thing for train fares. When I worked in Kansas City I got tired of driving both ways each week so I parked a car at the Kirkwood, MO train station and another at the Lee's Summit station. Parking at Union Station in both St. Louis and Kansas City is expensive but free at Kirkwood and Lee's Summit. Those stops also make the trip shorter on both ends. Checking their last minute deals, I sometimes got incredibly cheap rates and upgraded to first class. A cushy reclining seat and a phone charging port at my seat. I'd sleep most of the way there and back. Beats the hell out of a 5 hour drive.
I think Apple vacations and a couple others do the same thing but the deals aren't as good. Any airlines that fly out of St. Louis I would check for fare sales. I think that's what she does too. When Icelandic started new routes, they had huge sales, as did Frontier. American, Northwest and Southwest occasionally have big sales. Icelandic used to have a deal on trips to Europe that allowed free stopovers in Iceland for any length of time.
I guess I need to do some research.

unfortunately, the part of the problem of animals means that last-minute is really difficult.

@Sally Sunshine it does sound like you have a very nice place and a built-in vacation typesetting so here's wishing that you have good days physically and the time to enjoy it.
I found myself looking at the young people playing at the waterslides the other day and just send me them having any time to do something for themselves I have over obligated my life to the point that it's insane. unfortunately, no matter how much I want to sell with the shortages in hay and stuff there's really no market right now to cut my numbers down.

Utah is known for its skiing! Did it when I was..younger. I love our mountains here. I used to live in Florida..loved the beach too..but I love our mountains better. A fall photo just up the canyon from us.View attachment 1831277Just took this photo from our front window. We live in a beautiful valley, surrounded by mountains. View attachment 1831279
I miss mountains so much. Mountains and rivers just called to something in the soul for me.

Oh no..neck..spine? Had mine done years ago..now I'm also putting off another. I also used to fish, ski (snow), and loved riding horses. Old..er age has gotten the best of me. Don't vacation like we used to. Hubby having Alzheimer's now has slowed us down with driving. I do the driving around town now. Kids moved in to help us out. DIL is a blessing driving me around when it comes to distance. No more Chickens here. I'm..kind of sad. We have a couple of cute dogs though. :love
One of the nice things about Peruvian Paso horses is there smooth enough that you can ride them when you're older.
