I was given a 6 mo old spotted QH colt several years ago as payment for a friend letting his dogs kill the Boer buck I'd loaned him. Colt was totally unbroke, but I got him for my GD, who gentled him into a nice saddle horse. She still owns him 15+ years later.

He's not getting grey yet! Smaller dogs..longer life. 10 was always old for my Golden's. You have a cute little love right there. I've always admired him.

He's still pretty active.

A free horse? Why didn't that happen to me? Well, I sort of did once I got married. Back in the 70's my Mother on law had horses. I rode their Palomino ..often! Bareback and up in the Foothills of their town. That mountain was right there. Loved, loved it!

Before I retired him from riding I rode Star bareback a lot. I prefer it over a saddle most of the time.

I would say that’s a very large chance of getting Valentine.

Probably. This just gives more time to prepare for getting a second horse. I don't think Val is going to compare to a 4 wheeler for too long.
