I've found a small hatchery that has ams with a focus on blue and black. Same with their bcms. It's Deer Run Farm. Their ams look right for the breed. The price bothers me, though. I know they aren't breeding SQ, but it still seems too low.Sexlinks lay more, so right now you might want that. Colors are exciting, and give an idea of who’s laying. Someone tried to steal my rabbits a week or so ago. I found my youngest doe sitting on the ground trying to figure out how to get back in the cage. Joke's on them, though. I can hardly touch them myself.Don’t forget to lock your coop up, people are stealing birds.
NO work, can't get out , no school, all the world around is almost in full stop, can't meet no one, pepole are getting sick and some of them will die, exepet from this every thing is perfect.
GRATEFUL!! For those stocking shelves!Still working here (stocking at walmart). Kids are starting online classes on Monday and DH had all his college classes switch to online.
I haven't hatched in 2 years since my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Also, only had chickens for the spring, early summer last year. Now, we have our son that moved in to help with things. He and his wife said they would help with chicken chores. I'm excited to have them again. Doing the Easter Hatch A Long, but only 2 are viable. After 2 years ... I'm sad. But...got more eggs...and why not?! The second order is doing much better!Yep... Well, sorta. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm getting.I'm thinking I may do ams and bcms but cackle has speckled eggers and I love their eggs more than welsummers.
I think it's just been too long since I last had chickens.
Just tilt. No spinning. You need something to keep them tilted for a while under the bator. Maybe it has something on it to use? I like to turn three times a day, so tilt it three times a day. I do 9 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon, and 9 at night. Good luck!Hey All I'm joining the Hatching Fun. I got this little Gem as a "Starter"
My fertile eggs get here on Wednesday April 1st
Everything I read about this incubator says point side down in try & just lift the whole tray and to turn the eggs you sway the whole tray 45* each way.
Is that enough of a turn or do I need to "spin" them also.
I'm a Newbie obviously lol
