I finally got the eggs in the bator. I have two in there that the neighbors' hens laid in my yard. No telling what those will turn out to look like if they hatch. I couldn't even begin to tell you what laid them. Gimpy is a PR, but I'm not convinced she laid the brown egg. A couple RSL come over along with a splash hen, some random black hen, and some bearded, muffed, and crested hen. There's also a black EE that roosts in a tree in the fence line. The only rooster that I can ID is a brown Leghorn.
Puerto Rican or Peruvian rotisserie?

So, I just turned the eggs and gave them a quick candle since a couple have hairline fractures. I'm confused. Temp is 100 since my digital thermometer is ruined and I'm not about to incubate at my normal temps without it. Some of these eggs look like they're on day 3 or 4. I candled them as soon as I got them home to check for cracks. I didn't put them in the bator until a few hours before I posted here that I'd set them. There was no noticable development and the room I hatch in is almost always on the cooler side.

I know it's not because of a warm spot. They're spread pretty evenly across the bator. I'm hoping these don't end up quitting later on. That would be a lot of eggs to toss.
