I realize this thread is on life support but I'm happy to report that I have 66 nice Penedesenca eggs in the incubator. The only issue is that they are a staggered hatch with 4 different set dates.
Luckily I have a separate old style Sportsman hatcher.
Nice. I also have a staggered hatch with only 2 different hatch dates. Due end of this week and next week. 23 White Cornish and White Cornish/Dark Cornish cross. I’ve also been saving more of their eggs for another hatch.
Not much getting done here today. The heat has slowed the working hours a bit.

Extremely hot here too. A buddy of mine, originally from St. Louis, now living in Santa Barbara called today. He always checks our weather and said now he would die in this heat - and humidity.

I have three broodies. You can borrow them.

Good thing about the heat here. Not much humidity. We are actually supposed to cool off this week. 93 if they can be believed.
Are you trying to get more breeders or sell the chicks?
Both. But mainly breeders.
I have 2 people waiting for chicks.
I have a couple cockerels that have been inside way too long. Plus I have several adult males that have to go.

A storm came through last night. We had a power outage about 10:30 PM and lasted an hour and 13 minutes. My govee temperature/humidity sensor tracks by the minute and in that time, the temperature in my old style Sportsman cabinet went from 99.9 to 94.3 before it started climbing when the power came back on. It was under 99 for about an hour. It would have been worse in winter but it is about 85 in that room now. I'm sure they're fine. In that length of time the internal egg temperature wouldn't have dropped much. Probably like a hen getting off the nest for a half hour.
