20. Eating turkey is NOT the reason you pass out after Thanksgiving dinner.

Yes, turkey contains the amino acid tryptophan, which is a precursor for serotonin, a brain chemical that makes us relaxed and sleepy. A tiny, tiny amount of tryptophan. You could have seconds or even thirds of turkey and still not consume enough tryptophan to make yourself drowsy. That open-pants nap your Dad takes after dinner is more accurately attributed to the enormous number of calories (aka carbs, fat and sugar) eaten at once. Stop blaming the turkey, piggies.

They don't bounce well they usually go straight through the dry wall. Lol I hope you guys know I'm kidding. I don't even spank my kids.
I don't spank my kids... although I admit I told my pre-teen a couple times he's lucky we didn't live 100+ years ago.. I told him kids back then used to have to go cut their own switches off trees when they were bad.

looks like the little black duck that's acting sickly, is probably going to die :( I got vitamins into him and got him eating/drinking, but he's not doing very good. The chick I was worried about, perked up. I guess it's a good thing I ordered more ducks from metzer farms. I'm not happy about the post office making a over night box take 3 days, and causing some of my birds to die :(
:hugs
:yesss: one hang up I've had is turning our yard into chicken farm, since we don't own it and won't be here forever. But the back side of the barn isn't used for anything AND it's out of sight. I can use the back of the barn as the back of the breed pens. It's pretty close to the tree line and I don't like that, but it would have shade almost all day. Weeds are head high so I'll have to put the goats back there for a few days. Anyway, plans! :yesss:
:celebrate
Thank you. He just died in front of my husband, so my husband removed him and disposed of him :(
Awe! So sorry!!
its okay, I got these two little buggers to hug. :p Okay, the cat isn't that little.
 Cute!

I'm glad I'm in good company and don't have to explain why I don't spank. Not against it.. Just not for me.
did you know my mom in law used to tell me stories about carrying a wooden spoon in her purse to scare her children?

I love my mom in law... when she's 2000 miles away... but I always wondered how that actually helped.
