I do that too. Lol. They aren't so bad. Just having a long bad mommy moment. What I would love is if they did animal care... But somehow I raised three boys that don't like animals and my youngest helps but he is so little. Lol he's gonna be a vet.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a great two days of trail riding in the MO Ozarks
Today we went to the natural bridge. It has collapsed a lot in the last few years so you can't walk easily through it, but it is still cool.

the post on the right was dark because the tree was dying, bark was infected with worms.
left post healthy tree so the post is light colored when bark removed.
horizontal brace still has bark on it, I will strip the bark off of it someday but I do not think it is as important since it is not touching the ground

I love my children, but i swear that my animals are neater than my kids.

although, I do get them to help me out. My son's in charge of the litter box and he had it OVERFLOWING with cat litter. Instead of cleaning it the last few days, he'd just dump new litter on top of the old stuff.

He's been doing the cat litter since he was 7. He KNOWS how to do it.

His excuse? I didn't want to scoop it this week.

Tomorrow, he's going out there and scraping all the chicken poop off the wooden coop in front of the nesting boxes as a punishment for being so lazy with the cat boxes.

See if he decides to do that again.

I can not remember the infraction that my daughter accomplished but the punishment is a family joke 25 years later, pick up truck loaded down with horse pooooo, she had to help me make an Iris bed, the most beautiful flowers resulted as well as a family memory

Yes.... Yes I have and three out of five are scared of chickens and tortoiseszzzz hates cats and can do with or without dogs. Lol
