no. they were born on day 18-19 because my son nuked them at 104 early in the incubation. Killed off most of the eggs. so the 5 that lived, 4 hatched, 1 needed an assist.
1 had 4 toes and no black feet - but otherwise looks like a silkie - I did some gene research and I don't want the partridge in my breeding program, so i'll either cull, or get rid of it.
The rest are really nice looking so far, except the black one has needle-like sticks instead of soft fluff. I also wondered if it had been mixed with a frizzle/frizzle silkie? that's what the feathers feel like, when you read descriptions... except as far as I know, they had no frizzle genes in their silkies.
If it's just a genetic thing in the blacks, that's okay too, I just need to know if it's a flaw/fault I don't want to breed. ;o
