I'm a nurse and I didn't know what it was either!  Apparently its very rare and happens when you sustain an injury, have surgery  or have immobility like a brace or cast. No easy way to describe it but your sympathetic nervous system attacks the area and causes a mess of problems. No real diagnostic testing or treatment but better results if detected early. I'm pretty good with pain but this swelling and deformity are making it hard to do anything and when its not resting and elevated its 10x worse   I'm going nuts-not that I didnt have a head start already

I think that's what we'd eventually did.

Going to take it a little easier today. Removing water timers, installing a switch to the wife's fish tank filter so,she doesn't have to crawl behind the tank to turn it off for feeding. You would think the filter would come with one especially one built for salt reefs.
