me neither. When I lived in town it was a great way to get candy. We you open the door and they say trick or treat , you say trick, grab the bag and slam the door. You also get a lot of eggs that way too. But you have to wait for them to leave so you can scrape them off the house and car .

I should have done that back when I lived in the suburbs....

I was wondering how you held up at Halloween..

I actually had the local Postmaster on my front porch telling me he wouldn't let his driver deliver packages to my house 'cause I'd threatened him at the point of a gun! I told him someone was blowing smoke up his butt, and it wasn't me. I came real close to pressing slander charges against the lying S.O.B.

poor guy was from the city and he's heard stories about us hick people. He used to leave the package at the bottom of the road and run. Had a serious fear.

Really? Crazy what people think about people that live in the woods. They'd love it too if they tried it. I would think anyway.

Nah, they can stay in the city for all I care. Keeps the woods empty.

Could do that here. Never will forget the time the neighbors got in trouble for shooting Bambi. It was in the local paper for crying out loud

What they dont seem to remember is that even Bambi is edible... Unless the pet was clearly marked, it was fair game IMO.
