There is an antique tractor show close to me that we go to every year and there is actually a wood smoke fired truck that shows up every year

That's awesome! It's good to know the world could survive in the absence of gasoline without having to go back to horses (I think going back to horses would be pretty cool too! )

got rid of 42 ducks and sending 15 rooster to butcher, bringing 3 back home isn't that bad now is it? .

he can climb up there, no way would I do it. My roof is too steep for us to be walking on and I've been up there once before. Never again.

I am in the "same boat", hate to watch others work but can not do the roof, I did pick up pieces of shingle and wrappers the last time roofers came.

Kindling split and petroleum jelly ready if the temperature ever drops.

Coffee is delish, empty rockers on the porch, come on over, we will keep the conversation on the "good things" going on in our lives.

There was a rooster (not mine) wandering around under Duckling's window. She is up early, so I don't know anymore! LOL!
I hope to put some stuff into the garage for the winter. I might take another bag of trash allllllllllll the way out to the road before the truck comes. Duckling has Lamb Chop and Play-Doh planned.
