Um it's all over even my silkies the have been in cages of the ground.and also I think they have the mites course some have scales popping up on legs and some have sores

Off the ground aint gonna stop lice.... And it sounds like you're describing scaly leg mites.
What do you mean by sores?

I suspect that he has an infestation of several types of mites *and* lice, and I think they can get sores from excessive preening due to the infestation.

Remember I mentioned Christmas Village, and how it blocks traffic down that way from now until after new years?

these images show that it sure is lovely doing a drive by, but I am not thrilled when the kids want to actually visit

They used to have a petting zoo that at least was fun, with reindeer and turkey and all sorta critters, but those are long gone.

It is possible that parasites are a cause but just as likely that time of year is why you're not getting many eggs. It is the time for them to shut down for a winter break.

So you have scaly leg mites as well?
That is a different treatment.

I understand the mirror, but why red marbles, as opposed to another color? Have anything to do w/eye color? I know my rooster, nasty devil that he is, has red eyes, but I never took particular notice of eye color on any others.

they are attracted to red blue and green..... this is why waterers are red blue or green

so add marbles to the food too, it cant hurt if he wont eat. oh and if you have silly hens that refuse to lay in the nest boxes and keep laying on the floor no matter what you try, fake eggs or whatever, try lowering nest box, adding a higher lip in front of the box and painting the inside bright red or blue..... see if they use it then...... and if you didnt know.... chickens have "one up on humans with eye site!"

Banti is this in the notes?
