EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Morning Abi

My single silkie hatchling, survived the night. Due to the yolk exploding all over the place, he needs to fluff up and eat and drink ASAP - he's not standing yet though. He's still acting extremely tired and curled up in a ball in the incubator.

I was planning on trying to let him rest until after breakfast, then stick him with another of my smallest silkies under the heat lamp until he perks up and see if I can integrate him into the silkie brooder. They are all very calm, gentle birds, so I don't think they'd reject him.

And he didn't follow proper protocol for filing the complaint? :rant

Well, I am disappointed to say that I was not able to wear my new shoes to work today, still dealing with some bruising and swelling from my fall on Monday. Now I will have to wait until NEXT Friday. Oh wait, Monday I am chaperoning a school field trip for my daughter, maybe I can wear them by then???

If I had worn them, they look like this...

But my foot looks like this....

So no new shoes today.
