EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I'm not very careful(obviously). The first I was riding around on the zero turn mowing the yard. Saw a limb out of the pine tree I had to move, didn't realize I was THAT close to the fence. Right across the back in the middle of the shoulder blades. I was very shocked ( literally and figuratively

)and stood there long enough for it to shock 3 or 4 times before I stepped away

I was on a trouble call; customer's newly built electric fence was hot constantly, even when it was turned off. I checked it all out & found nothing apparently wrong. Turned out that the overhead high voltage lines were keeping the fence wires hot.
wow, kinda like when you carry the big fluorescent bulbs under and they light up?

sorry, was at work and couldn't answer back that time.

I walked down to the horse barn one day (all metal polebarn) and touched the siding. Got the crap shocked out if me. Didn"t think nothing of it, thought the fence got against the barn somehow (it is close). Checked the fence and didn't see anything. Didn't bother to touch the barn again. Next couple days didn't touch the barn and then decided I better check and see if it was still electrified. I touched it again, no shock. It was a different side of the barn. So this goes on for a couple weeks. Sometimes I get shocked, sometimes I don't. Kept telling my fiance it was electrified. He ran his hands all over the barn and nothing. He thought I was nuts. Finally I had someone else over here and had them touch it. I finally had put 2 and 2 together that only 2 sides of the barn would produce a shock. When they got shocked my fiance started believing me. He tried to tell me it was the electric fence. I let him figure out it was not the fence as I already had. Turns out the dusk to dawn light on the front of the barn had shorted out internally and was electrifying the front and back and the roof of the barn. The other 2 sides do not touch the roof metal where the 2 that were electrified did.

I got the crap shocked out of me by 110 on multiple occasions all while I was being told I was crazy cause it never shocked him(he had electrical hazard boots on, I didn't). I'm lucky it didn't burn the barn down in the 2 weeks it was like that. I got nervous and starting shutting the breaker that ran the barn off when we weren't down there and that may be what saved it.

I got the crap shocked out of me by 110 ok multiple occasions all while I was being told I was crazy cause it never shocked him(he had electrical hazard boots on, I didn't). I'm lucky it didn't burn the barn down in the 2 weeks it was like that. I got nervous and starting shutting the breaker that ram the narn off when we weren't down there and that may be what saved it.
