my thinking is as it heats up directly under them they can trap in feathering and let go of what they dont need????? dumbthinking? 

I think if a cooler spot on the roost was provided as well that this would be the way to go.

I just retrieved the blower from the barn, made sure it would start, & parked it under the deck, so I don't need to slog thru snow getting it out of the barn. Work smarter, not harder.

Not that I'm aware of, but we never know. The mountains to the west of us, near Camp David, do strange things to the air currents & block a lot of it, but we get our share, mostly from the south.

We're getting 7-11" of snow this weekend. I MUST finish the run today.

I would gladly take that snow! We just need rain, anything would help. We are in a serious drought and have so many wildfires that the air is smokey and it's all you smell outside. Even though the fires are miles and miles away from me.
