@Fire Ant Farm @ChickenCanoe My sweet potato casserole is done more like mashed potatoes with a brown sugar and pecan topping. I find marshmallows too sweet. I usually have this, and then have hot pumpkin pie with ice cream a different time since it is my favorite pie. I do it crustless most of the time anymore to try to cut some of the calories and bad stuff.

Creamy Corn Chowder
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 c hot water
5 bacon strips
1 c green pepper (opt)
1/2 c chopped onion
1/4 c flour
3 c milk
1 1/2 c frozen corn
1 (4oz) can of cream style corn
Seasonings (salt, basil, pepper)

Dissolve bouillon in water. In 5qut dutch oven (no you silly sally, not that kind) cook bacon, crumble, and set aside. In drippings, saute onion & ground pepper til tender. Add flour and cook till bubbly. Cook 1 more min. Gradually stir in milk & bouillon water. Boil, reduce heat, and stir til thickened. Add corn and seasoning. Cook 10 min or until heated thru. Sprinkle on bacon.
Servings: 6-8

Corn Casserole
1 box jiffy corn mix
1 can corn
1 can creamed corn
1 stick butter
1/3 c sour cream

Melt butter and mix with 1st 3 ingredients. Mix sour cream in. Pour into 8 x 8 pan. Preheat oven to 375 and bake 3/4 - 1 hour.

They have had them for 2 or three years they have never slept in a house except for in the winter they would never go in they slept down by the road. And they have bought them many different houses for them they wouldn't use them and they couldn't catch them to put them in and they have even came and got our old dog house which if they still have it I am going to maybe go get it back and put a door on it for the ducks.

Physical Differences


Although adult Pekin ducks are both pure white with orange legs and beaks, there are a few easy ways to tell males from females. As their adult feathers grow in, males develop a drake feather, a curled feather on the top of their tails. Males temporarily lose this feather when they molt their feathers once a year. A female may grow such a feather only if there are no other males in the flock. An egg-laying female develops small black or brown spots on her bill due to changes in her hormones. Birds without these spots would either be an immature female or a male.

A Different Kind of Sound


As young as 6 weeks old, male and female Pekin ducks make distinct vocalizations. Females make the distinct quack quack sounds associated with ducks and are usually the loudest ducks in the pond. Males make a low, raspy vocalization sometimes accompanied by a slight whistling sound.
