Sally, I think I've hit upon a plan!!! I'll just tell my mom the parts I need for the bator a for a science project (not untrue)

You know, my kid just told me she wanted to incubate chickens, so I spend about 100 hours researching it, got grandma to buy her a small bater for a test batch, then bought her a bigger bater for bigger batches....

You might get your mom on board, simply by asking!

I have asked once or twice. The three parts I need are cheaper than a bator anyway.

2 are. They were pardoned by Obama an hour ago and will live out their life on the University of Virginia at a place called gobbler's gulch.
except that the fact that they were raised as meat birds and will probably die of heart failure in a couple months anyway

Quote: Other than the mess of wet feathers all over the place, no, not really. I guess I'll just have to do it all myself from now on, and not let her eat any.

I have no clue why, but the one who looked just like Tucker had darker meat than the other two, who were predominantly white with some red thrown in; all three of them were at least half brothers...sae daddy, maybe different mommas. I wonder if the gene for coloration also determines meat color.

There's still one that bears a strong resemblance to Tucker; we'll eventually see what color his meat is, if I can ever get my hands on him.
