Can you not see anything? How many lumens is your candler?
Dead embryos will have a sort of haze to the AC/embryo line.
Can you see drawdown?

Hunted up the road for a couple hours this afternoon; no birds, no squirrels, no deer. So exciting I kept falling asleep.

Have you read the info in Hatching 101? LOTS of good info there. Really. Lumens has to do with how strong your candler is, light-wise. Draw down is something that you can (reportedly) see toward the end when the chick is getting ready to hatch. (I've never seen it myself, as I don't candle at this point.)
