EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Opinions anyone - is this frostbite on Monkey's comb? Housed in a well ventilated tractor coop, got down to 34F for a couple hours this am, saw this this afternoon... (His comb is SOOOOOO big! All my boys have huge combs because of the summer heat...)

you sure you didnt get lower than that? he is fine otherwise? no breathing issues and you looked in his mouth? very odd it takes a good freezing to get frostbite on my birds, although humidity in the coop can do it if its freezing

Can anyone help me all three of my thermometers are showing different temps including the incubator that I need to calibrate what should I do?
see the temp section here.... it will tell you how to calibrate

It's freaking cold out... I got 8 degrees.... Time to book the heat lamps up for my ducks.
My flock of AC's are in a heated cage..... Bet they are happy about that right about now.

Our storm turned warm, which is not good for the snow in the mountains. We are getting rain at 57*

Good morning everyone!
Hey Abi no four letter words. Of course around here I will take that four letter word any day over the nastier three letter ice.

@ChickenCanoe I was just harassing you. The opportunity was too good. Good thing I am not Chaos or Banti with the smacks. :D

@jwlpoultry I do wish you were around more. I admit that I have been absent throughout the day, but never seeing your name when I do check in lets me know that you are not present. And I do wish I could respond to your posts. So, please. PLEASE pop in every other day to say hi.
