actually I have one of these dad has given to me, The frame is crappy, thinking about making a 2x4 frame for it but it is only the top not the sides

Yea the frame on those things usually is pretty crappy. A 2x4 frame for it would be a good idea. Is the material thicker then a regular tarp?

hmmmmm could use those ripped 2x4 and build out on the downward side so it has about a foot "drip edge" if you can call that that lol
but doing that could probably use a 4 foot section starting the bottom of each side the correct installation and then one full sheet rounding the top overlaping the sides.

Well, it was drizzling/sprinkling here this morning when I did chores. Unlike you though it was 33 here which I am enjoying after the single digits the other day, and the cold weekend we are expecting.
