Morning all! It's 8:07am here in Aussie land. Question: What day does everyone like to lock their jap quail down on? I've got some close to lockdown and would like some new input :)

.I got that.
Ever hear someone on the radio or talk to them on the phone and they look nothing like you imagined them?
Happens to me all the time. Amazing. I used to listen to a radio show every night when I was still working; called Coast to Coast A.M., hosted at first by Art Bell, then later, up to the present, by George Noory. In both cases, pictures of them don't even come close to what I pictured them looking like.

NVM, four eggs. :D

@DwayneNLiz @MotorcycleChick I forget which one of you told me to keep the cracked, rolling AC one. Well, it has veins....

OHHHHH!!!! that CAN be aranged, which rhino again?

Never raised them but there's a good chart in the following link.

All the time....

One that comes to mind is Terry Gross host of NPR's Fresh Air. Beautiful voice.

Another that was a shock with a great voice is a local radio personality, Charlie Brennan.

I really screwed up one time. I was working in KC and needed a secretarial service. I hired a gal sight unseen. She had the most amazing voice. She had a phone bank in her house and each line was answered with that client's name. Since she did all our typing, printing, copying and phone work, I was on the phone with her all the time and I fell in love with that voice. After a long time we flirted a bit and I asked her out on a date. She had a better idea, she had a family wedding coming up and wanted me to be her date.
This is going to sound pretty shallow of me but it is a true story.
It was a huge Jewish wedding and her whole family wanted to meet her new boyfriend. When I picked her up at her house I was shocked. Not in a good way.
I think we went out a couple more times because I couldn't think of a way to bow out graciously after we had flirted for weeks by phone.
It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George dated the unattractive daughter of the unemployment office lady so he could get approved for UI benefits.

I loved that show. I guess it isn't on the air any more?
I think Art Bell was in Vegas. He had back issues and had to give up the gig. George Noory was a radio personality at the AM station that carried it here in St. Louis when he took over. Sometimes it would be broadcast from here.
Such a diverse and eclectic batch of topics. Everything from ghosts, aliens, conspiracy theories, remote viewing, etc..

I bought the CD of Art Bell's shows.

Quote: It's still on, 7 nights a week, live. On weekends they alternate between Bell's shows & Noory's past shows. I don't catch it nearly as often as I did when I was working; I'm usually asleep by its 1AM air time here. Bell, if he hasn't moved, is in Parumph (sp), NV, in the "high desert"...probably close to Vegas. A lot of their shows were/are pretty far out there; some aren't

Thanks. I used to always listen when I was driving to KC or CO during the night. I almost never heard a show I didn't enjoy. They sure had long commercial breaks.
I'm usually asleep long before then too but am often up before it ends. I'll have to tune in.
