Dax, there are 16 hosts in MO. At least one is a dairy goat farm.

All the time....
One that comes to mind is Terry Gross host of NPR's Fresh Air. Beautiful voice.

Another that was a shock with a great voice is a local radio personality, Charlie Brennan. Perhaps the reason the picture is taken at a difference.

I really screwed up one time. I was working in KC and needed a secretarial service. I hired a gal sight unseen. She had the most amazing voice. She had a phone bank in her house and each line was answered with that client's name. Since she did all our typing, printing, copying and phone work, I was on the phone with her all the time and I fell in love with that voice. After a long time we flirted a bit and I asked her out on a date. She had a better idea, she had a family wedding coming up and wanted me to be her date.
This is going to sound pretty shallow of me but it is a true story.
It was a huge Jewish wedding and her whole family wanted to meet her new boyfriend. When I picked her up at her house I was shocked. To call her homely is generous.
I think we went out a couple more times because I couldn't think of a way to bow out graciously after we had flirted for weeks or more by phone.
It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George dated the unattractive daughter of the unemployment office lady so he could get approved for UI benefits.
