Mine are only a pound each so they're used to cages. They dont know what to do in runs sometimes... But put em on a yoga mat or carpet on the table and watch em go!! hey are in their glory!!!

FWIW, when I was going thru therapy for my hand, they had me alternating between opening it as far as possible w/the fingers spread and closing it into a fist. Don't know if that would be applicable in your case or not.

The friend at work that I got started in chickens is going to get some Seramas for his daughters 4h or one of those clubs. I asked him if he was going to hatch or buy chicks. He wasn't sure. Oh boy time to introduce incubating to them. They are taking a vacation to go to a Serama show south of here so that they get more of an understanding of what's to be.

I do the beaks with adult nail clippers and a nail file (for show) and I have tiny nail clippers (like the dog kind but bird size) for the feet

This is SCNA-there is also ASA which I am more familiar with and serama USA that focuses more on the malaysian type. Each group judges differently and has different categories and rules.. I stay out of the particulars and just enjoy the birds...
