I'm now wishing I had the money to build a little separate duck coop, maybe someday.... With a little covered run so I could get calls...

Question regarding temperatures:

I have four thermometers in my still air incubator. They are a digital one with a hydrometer, a metal one that came with the incubator (from about 2001), an outdoor weather station therm with hydrometer, and a flat one you put of the eggs. All reading 100-101.3 Or so. I've even tested a laser therm and it read around 99.

I put the flat therm on top of the eggs, out of curiosity, and it read 106! I need suggestions! Is that normal?

This is my third attempt at hatching recently and have not been successful with the other two. The last batch had formed chicks with unabsorbed yolks.the first batch was a humidity error.

I hatched when I was younger (2000-2001) and never had as many issues. Actually I never had any issues and good hatch rates.

I did buy a forced air incubator and letting it get up to temp,
do you know how to calibrate??
Calibration is a MUST: HOW TO CALIBRATE post #262

Hi whites, they had done labs and tried to set up a sooner appointment for digestive diseases but they dont see children under 14 so she still has the 31st appointment with Hershey specialist. No lab results yet, he said he thinks it is the bad intestinal virus going around but we all doubt it. She was feeling a bit better for a little yesterday and no she back in bed crying on and off. Doc office called to check on her and will notify the doc, so not sure whats next.

I have one serama out and more pips. a wee sprite she is too

Unfortunately, my LO rooster attacked me from behind again today. I thought the event last week was a fluke and accidental as we spooked each other. But, today, was most definitely not an accident, and I have the gashes to prove it! ~sigh~ I guess he has just reached that age where he's showing out.

I really wanted to keep him, he is so beautiful! Can't keep him around if he is going to be violent though, not worth the risk of him hurting my daughter.

Should I try to sell him or just try to give him away??? Be nice to get a few dollars for him anyway.

Sell it first priority, eat it second. Don't just give it away.

You have my prayers and blessings...

I remember the decades between my daughter's 14th birthday and 17th. They lasted around 30 years..

I had a few daily activities I did:

1) Drinking vast quantities of adult beverages to make it through the day

2) Begging my Doctor for heavy meds

3) Contemplating if life in prison was worse than this

4) writing my legislators to ask why they would not consider making filicide legal...

However, when it was all over, she became my perfect child again, then found the perfect son in law for me and gave me the perfect grandchildren. So there is hope, might I suggest brandy for now?
