@Fire Ant Farm Are NN relatively hard to get when bred with a non-NN? Because for as crazy as my NN roo is with these hens, I only have a total of 3 offspring, which are all different ages now, but also all could be from the female NN I have. I am afraid to breed the NN together for they may be too closely related, but I don't know. They came from the "Chick Days" event at our local feed store, and they literally had HUNDREDS of different breeds of chickens. Is there a way to tell if they are related? The roo is Red, and the hen is a creamy buffish with some reddish tone, like salmon maybe!
I mean compared to the 1 year I had NN Bantams that went broody and hatched out a 50% NN chicks, I am surprised I don't have more from these 2, and those were bantam hens, not any NN Roos that time.
