EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Try putting a cushion on the end rail, like a thin piece of styro sheet behind a strip of indoor/outdoor carpet, or high pile indoor carpet by itself

I Have that piece of Styrofoam on the end now, if that is too "harsh" of a stop I will put a piece of aluminum backed bubble wrap in there at a slight U shape to slow the egg gentler. I would do it now but I am forced to try it like it is, as the WWD said I should do something different and this would not work. I have no choice but to prove her wrong now.

I am sure you understand.

Ah.
Unfortunately I don't.

No wonder you raise dux, if you are so mixed up and uninformed to know who Gene Autry was.....

Well, just make sure animal meat/protein is in the first three ingredients. If it has mostly grains in it, it won't help. Kitten food works best with top three ingredients of meat. You could also give them, well, MEAT. Ground hamburger or something. Please do try this before doing anything drastic - egg eating really can be reversed. Mine were eating them for a brief period as well - changed their feed to Nutrena's Feather Fixer and gave more BOSS and it stopped almost immediately.

@ChickenCanoe - I think you forgot the link. (I'd do it myself, but I forget which one it is that you use.)

I am so tired - I am almost falling over. No way can I get into the attic safely today - it will have to be tomorrow. Good thing I got everyone cleaned out and topped up yesterday - I don't think I have any energy to do more than collect eggs and change chick water.
