Fire Ant Farm
Get off my lawn
I was sent some eggs that got pretty roughed up during shipping. Dang post office; they're usually really good my packages. Most of the eggs have slipped air cells, and a few have completely detached cells. I've got them resting pointy side down at the moment.
My question is, my incubator is a Brinsea Maxi II, which incubates the eggs on their sides. If I can't get the air cells to reattach will that affect hatching?
I got shipped eggs that were really shaken up last year - I incubated them upright in plastic egg cartons with holes cut in the bottom (you could also use foam, but can't use paper because it messes with humidity). You can manually turn them three times a day by gently leaning them to one side in the egg carton, then to the other. They did pretty well, all things considered. If you go to the second post at the beginning of the thread and read all about the shipped eggs info, that's what I followed. I also asked for a lot of help here on the thread as well. I even hatched upright.

Edit to add: You can see from the tracings how messed up the air cells were.
