Thanks Benny. Absolutely loved it. Tears in my eyes from laughing.
Nope, the little bugger is MINE MINE MINE. Sweet little baby necks...Kristin- I LUVS THEM.![]()
May I steal that little NN??

I work in a big city - I have a perfect lot - 1.6 acres, the back acre relatively private and flanked by undeveloped scraggly "woods" on neighbors' lots, great neighborhood, across the street from work (which is the hospital) (takes me about 5 minutes to drive), so traffic is not an issue, and I can pop home from work during the day at lunch if there's an issue with the animals and then pop back. I just want more animals than my property can support. (Not that I have the time to care for all my dream animals.)@Fire Ant Farm Congratulations on your hatch. Especially the rose comb NN. Why would you want to be in town. I am fifteen minutes from work, and ten from the hospital, but I have twelve acres and I back up to two big cattle properties on a dead end lane. It is great.
Around here ponds dry up anyway - I have (mental) plans to build a small artificial pond for whenever I get ducks and/or geese years hence. One I can fill and drain easily to clean/maintain.
(But I like looking at your photo - so lovely!!!)

I know, right? The skin of Naked Necks (babies and grown ups) is a little like baby skin, so smooth and soft (except maybe right by the head in the boys). It makes cuddling delightful. This is Sweetie when she was younger. (She doesn't levitate, so she doesn't get as much attention on here. Her name fits, though.)
Well, don't tell her now! Who knows how many years you could get out of this?!![]()
Good luck with the hatch!!! And good luck with those toads - hope they hatch well! That turkey hunter was so good I forgot why I came here.
I set 119 eggs ( or will in 2 minutes) I cleaned and disinfected them.
I have
43 Legbars I hope to get 15 whites from these but that is overly optimistic.
11 Dominques
19 Polish
2 SS
4 turkey eggs
7 PC
8-cuckoo Maran
11 toads
14 Yokohamas
I also sold 3 dozen this morning and I have 3 more dozen to go, so I had a good week for eggs, However the Marans, SS and PC need to pick the pace up a tad.
And of course the darn Spitzhaubens that have not given me an egg yet..
Edited to add, I am done setting Toad eggs for a few months now.. And my toad eggs have smiley faces on them! @meltel Thanks!!![]()

I hope you can find something that's not so hard on you regarding time to take care of your property and animals - I get tired just thinking of all you have to do combined with your work hours...![]()
OK, I'm kinda sorta awake. I had to have a cup of coffee (sleeping all day wasn't an option). I really needed this sleep (I was on a chronic deficit), but now it's time to start getting stuff done - STAT!
