Loved VeggieTales our older kids watched it. Younger ones no, don't ever let a kid watch YouTube. Chase's corner, Doh much fun, other even dumber shows. We call it 'Stupid Stuff'.

That is Bert, he has a unique look even for a toad, most are more mottled or white in color.  He is a pet now, he follows me all around my barn, BUT he sticks so bad!  As soon as we get warm weather he is in for a bath.  I can tell when he is behind me by his odor.



BTW  the reigning King of Toads is always named Bert.  When he dies one of his kids will become Bert.

@Fire Ant Farm Bummer on the poor wiring. Not all DIY people do that stuff.. The key to DIY is knowing when you can't and it is beyond you. I even hired an electrician twice last year. I hardly ever hire anyone.

Do you have purple Crazy Ants down there? I was reading about them from a person on the meat bird thread. Makes me glad I live above the arctic circle. It keeps those nasty things in check. How many chicks are you up to this year?


I put my eggs yesterday into my new to me "newer" 1202. I have been running it for a couple weeks. I put a new electronic digital thermostat in it and wanted to see how tight it held the temps. I am amazed at it.

However, I did not think the turner was working. It would occasionally have the left side down but mainly I saw the right side down. I was down there the other day and it turned. The reason I never saw it partially down like my older ones is it does not do that. It turns all the way one side down or the other, there is no in between. Someone should have told me that!

I don't like the newer Veggie Tales. They did away with the theme song.

Yup, never a dull moment - I hate having to call anyone to fix anything, because it always ends up a some bigger thing, or something they can't help me with because of something weird. I'm sort of dreading what the electrician finds...

Did I tell you that the chimney terminated in the attic? (You read that right - it did not extend through the roof...)   So, had to block up the fireplace for safety reasons (obviously)...

No I missed that part. Wow!!!!!
