Pigs are the coolest pets though.
When we were kids we were not allowed to have horses. My Dad hated them, claimed he spent too much time behind them working when he was a kid.
My Brother and I looked for horse substitutes. We would use the cows when we had to go get them from the pastures. This had 2 downfalls.
1) The cows did not like it or cooperate.
2) When Dad caught us riding a cow, he became quite unreasonable
So we moved on to the pigs. They were great. If you fall off a pig it is a short fall, the ground is mushy and soft around them. Dad did not seem to mind. The pigs learned their names and came running when called.
The only downfall is Dad sold or butchered them fairly often and we needed to train new pigs every summer.
Pigs are totally devoted to you if you rub their bellies.
I think I finally understand Ralphie. It's 80% sarcasm, 15% caustic wit, and 5% hatred of webbed things

So I have pizza dough resting on the counter. I'll make a breakfast pizza.
I tried hard to get her moving, up to a healthy weight... but she's just too old and too sick/crippled to be happy with out lots of pain meds, and I just cannot afford hundreds a month for an old horse i'm not attached too.
