Someone on another thread got his temperatures wrong (no calibration, I think, first time hatching), and had all unzipped unpipped (stupid BYC autocorrect) chicken eggs at 23 days, with one oozing and rotten that he took out. He went to bed, unplugged his 'bator on the morning of day 24, and then was walking by later and heard a peep. He plugged it back in, did an assist, and he has a live chick that seems ok so far. It's the season of miracles!!!! (And another reminder not to give up with low temps.)

 

Yeah... I'm still only down to one cup a day (he wants me on 1/2 cup a day caffeinated) - I was drinking about 3 every morning plus Diet Cokes at work. It's for migraine prevention, so if I drank too much and then ended up in his office wanting help again he'd just say, "I told you so."   

Duckling was a bit confused about breakfast pizza. I forgot what a great way it is to use extra eggs.

I am out, not feeling good and the pup cant walk again front leg pain now  ughhhhhhh

yes but they scratch like crazy put some tin around the bottom and some roosts yer set

Cannot have too high of a lip around the bottom, IMO. We have a pair of Serama living insideiin a 2x4 pen. If it's soon after bath day, they get to run around the living room.

Oooh, the amount of dust/straw they kick up and out. We have a HEPA filter running next to them 24/7. I'd even consider making the non-viewing areas a solid wall to help keep it inside.
