I live too close to the Twin cities so I get people that want chickens and have no idea about chickens, or farm life..


There Idea of Rural is The mall of America......
 
The person that wanted the eggs in the fridge, I am sure saw a TV show on the national Geographic channel about the temperature determining the sex in gators and turtles..


Thought it must be the same for chickens

Bandaid is putting it nicely. The length of the emergency overflow is 1700 feet. 1700 feet one foot high of water going onto basically dirt. Glad it's slowed down just really don't know how much more the damaged main spillway is going to take. That is an incredible force. Scary to watch.

Hard to believe that just a few years ago driving by it you could almost see the bottom. House boats were lined up against the shore single file with just enough room to go by the back sides of them to navigate.

If that's the case you must get only hens in the winter. Half froze and all.
 
You all are hilarious! Trying to just read the last couple pages and four new posts.... It's late, usually nobody awake here Lol!
So what temp for more likely hatching cockerels? I would like mostly cockerels, keep the eggs warm?
