Yes, I have one blue and brown egg in the incubator. About 1/4 blue.

It was the only nail polish I had around.

One of the eggs, has a spider-crack all over it on one end... i pretty much figured it was a goner, but some how, the little thing's survived, grown, and may actually make it to hatch day. I'm kind of surprised.

They have incubation houses. It's a business there, to go get your eggs hatched by an incubation family. They build long, long cob ovens, having fires at one end. The vacuum of the air pulls it through the cob works of the house to prevent hot spots. They build racks over the cob oven length, with reed mats hanging down over the sides to hold in the heat, and the whole thing gets tilted back and forth on racks.

At least that's what I got sent pictures of when I donated to heifer international.


I've seen pictures of incubation houses in asian countries where they put the eggs in clay pots filled with sand, and bury them in hot ashes, the entire pot gets tilted for turning.

The only sucky thing is there is always someone there. No sleep!

Umm. The thirtieth? They were due this coming Monday, but if I get anything, it'll be Wednesday.
Between my horrible PO, and the plug coming out, they are in bad shape, and cooled off about twelve hours.

my sick horse died this afternoon.

She was alive and walking around eating this morning and at lunch, I went out there to go give her, her pain meds and her feed, and she was gone.

I'm really pretty sure she had cancer. the unusual lumps on her sides, the weight loss, the pain levels she had.... At least she's not suffering anymore.
